How Busy Bunny uses Facebook and Instagram
Last Updated: November 2, 2026
Busy Bunny AI, Inc. makes Busy Bunny, an assistant that helps small business owners with their marketing. A business owner can connect their own Facebook Page, Instagram professional account and Meta ad account. Busy Bunny then writes posts and ads for that business, and sends them only after the owner approves them. This page explains what Busy Bunny can do once you connect, what it never does, and how to remove the connection and your data.
What Busy Bunny does after you connect
- Shows your Pages and accounts: lists the Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts and ad accounts you chose to share, so you can pick which ones Busy Bunny works with.
- Publishes posts you approve: posts to your Facebook Page and your Instagram account only after you approve the post, at a human pace (at most a few posts a day). You can pause posting at any time.
- Checks your posts: reads your Page's and Instagram account's own posts and their basic engagement (for example likes and comments counts) to confirm a post went out once, show you its link and tell you how it did.
- Runs ads you approve: in your own ad account, Busy Bunny creates campaigns, ad sets and ads in a paused state. They start only after you approve the ad and its budget. Busy Bunny keeps to the budget you approved, and you can pause or stop any ad at any time.
- Reports ad results: reads spend, impressions, clicks and results for the ads in the ad accounts you shared, so you can see what each ad costs and which ones work.
- Works with your business portfolio: reads the business portfolio that owns the Pages and ad accounts you shared, so Busy Bunny uses the right ones.
What Busy Bunny never does
- We never post, comment, message or spend money without your approval.
- We never read your personal Facebook profile, friends, private messages or anyone else's account.
- We never sell data from Facebook or Instagram, and we never use it to build advertising profiles or to target ads for anyone else.
- We never use data from Facebook or Instagram to train AI models. When an AI model writes a post or an ad, it receives only the business facts needed for that post.
- We never pay for ads with our own card: ads run in your ad account, on your payment method.
How the connection works
You connect from Busy Bunny with Facebook Login for Business. Facebook shows you exactly what Busy Bunny asks for, and you choose the Pages, Instagram accounts and ad accounts to share. Facebook returns a one-time code to our server, which exchanges it for an access token. The token is stored encrypted on our servers in Google Cloud, is used only for the features above, and is never shown in the app, in logs or to other users.
How to disconnect
- In Busy Bunny: open Settings, then Connected accounts, then Facebook and Instagram, and choose Disconnect. We revoke the token at Facebook and delete it right away.
- On Facebook: open Facebook Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations, and remove Busy Bunny. Facebook tells us, and we delete the token.
How to delete your Facebook and Instagram data
Data we keep from Facebook and Instagram: your access token, the ids and names of the Pages, Instagram accounts and ad accounts you shared, the posts and ads Busy Bunny made for you with their ids and links, and the result numbers we read for them.
- Remove only the Facebook and Instagram data: disconnect as described above. We delete the access token at once, and the ids, names and results we read from Facebook and Instagram within 30 days. Posts and ads already published stay on your Page and in your ad account, because they belong to you; delete them there if you want them gone.
- Delete everything: delete your Busy Bunny account in the app (Settings, then Delete account; see how to delete your account), or email sunny@busybunny.ai with the subject "Facebook and Instagram Data Deletion Request". We delete your account and all data from Facebook and Instagram within 30 days and confirm by email.
